Adult Softball

Spring/Summer and Fall Leagues @ MeadWestvaco Kapstone Park Complex (Corner of North Rhett Avenue and Remount Road)

Ages: 17 years and over (15 years and over, if Church Team)
Registration: Teams Only
Entry Fees: Weeknight Leagues: $600.00; Sunday Leagues: $475.00

Coaches Meeting: 
Fall League Meeting: August 15, 2012, 7:00 pm at Park Circle

Leagues Offered:
Women's Recreation, Sunday Co-Ed and Men's Senior.
Seasons:
Spring Seasons Begins: March and April 2012, tentatively; Fall Season Begins Mid September 2012.
All men on teams hit their own .44 core OPTIC YELLOW ball, women hit their own .44 core OPTIC YELLOW ball. Co-Ed leagues alternate softballs. All fees include NSA Registration and league tournament.

Adult Basketball

Exciting Adult Basketball league action is played on Saturdays at the Danny Jones Gymnasium beginning at 2:00 pm.  The league is comprised on nine company teams.

Flag Football

The North Charleston Recreation Department will sponsor Men's Flag Football.  The league is played at MeadWestvaco/Kapstone Park.  The league runs a Spring/Summer and a Fall season.  The Fall 2012 season meeting will be held on August 15th, at 7pm at Park Circle.  For more information on the league, contact Cindy Dambaugh at (843) 740-5801 or e-mail cdambaugh@northcharleston.org.

Tennis Clinics/Lessons

Site: Collins Park Tennis Center at the Collins Park Complex (Fellowship Road off Dorchester Road)
Fee: Varies depending on type of lesson or clinic (group or private), Lesson Packages are available.
Ages: 18 years of age and older

Tennis Leagues

Tennis Teams are available for interested tennis players.  Teams represent the North Charleston Recreation Department and participate on several different playing levels.  Teams play home matches and travel to other local tennis facilities to compete.

Disc Golf

Disc Golf is played on the outer 8 islands around Park Circle Monday -Sunday from dusk to dawn, continuously.  Tuesday night doubles are played beginning at 6:00 pm.  Registration takes place at the #1 tee box at 5:00 pm.  For more information on Disc Golf, call (843) 740-5801or e-mail Jonas Card at CDGC@bellsouth.net

Senior Line Dancing (class registration is continuous)

Each Monday morning at Felix C. Davis Community Center on Park Circle.  Class time is 9:30 am - 11:00 am.

Seniorcize

This very low impact senior exercise class meets Tuesday and Thursday mornings at the Felix C. Davis Community Center on Park Circle.  Class time is 10:00 am - 11:00 am.

Annual Events

YOUTH
Pitch, Hit and Run

This program allows young athletes to showcase their individual skills in pitching, hitting and running. Local competition is tentatively schedule during April. All around winners will advance to a sectional competition. Participants must play in local league. Ages 7-8 years; Ages 9-10 years; Ages 11-12 years; Ages 13-14 years.

The North Charleston Recreation Department sponsors one of the largest Senior Softball Tournaments on the East Coast.
