Charleston Southern University
Volunteers from the Charleston Southern University football team partnered with four North Charleston neighborhoods to help them complete their Clean Cities Sweep projects.

Cooper Cosmetic & Family Dentistry
Cooper Cosmetic & Family Dentistry volunteered at the Quarterman Lake Flowerscape. They weeded, deadheaded, removed debris, removed old pinestraw, placed compost and raked it throughout the bed, and then replaced old pinestraw. They will continue to maintain this flowerbed monthly. Twice a year they will install pinestraw to keep it looking beautiful all year!

Daisy Girl Scout Troop 238
Daisy Girl Scout Troop 238 collected trash along Appian Way. Five girls, two troop leaders, and three additional family members participated. They collected enough trash to fill three bags. Two of the girls plan to pick up trash each day after school, and the other four will be splitting weekends to maintain the cleanup.

Enoch Chapel United Methodist Church
Enoch Chapel United Methodist Church cleaned up around the outside of their church, weeded, removed debris and trash, and planted flowers around the church steps. The work done during Clean Cities Sweep helped to motivate church members into doing beautification and cleanup activities throughout the year.

Maxwell Street Cleanup Crew
The Maxwell Street Clean Up Crew performed a cleanup around the railroad tracks at the intersection of 526 and North Rhett Avenue. They collected several bags of litter and debris and separated materials such as plastic bottles and aluminum cans from litter to be recycled.
